Jeevoday Special school started in the year 1989, having the foresight to render loving service to the intellectually challenged children in Nagpur and adjacent areas. It had a simple beginning with 17 children. Today we have 200 children in the school and 100 adults in the Prathiksha Rehabilitation center. “Whenever you did this for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me” Mt-25/40). Being encouraged by the divine words of Jesus we initiated our loving service to the intellectually challenged, the so-called marginalized of society. With the continuous efforts of special educators and the timely intervention of various therapists, our children with special needs are enabled to be independent, useful, and productive members of mainstream society. We enhance our special youngsters with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Training and continue with the other skills which are essential for an individual to live in Society. We facilitate our special youngsters with Vocational Training such as file making, making paper bags, flower making, greeting cards, candle making, screen printing, etc… Jeevoday is imparting education and training to these special youngsters and being a source of life-giving experience and spark of hope to the differently abled youngsters and their parents.
